portion sizes.
Check ingredients, quantities, and equipment before beginning production.
Coordinate with the chef and kitchen team to keep food preparation on schedule.
Report shortages, recipe questions, quality concerns, or potential delays early.
Follow instructions for dietary restrictions and allergens, and ask for clarification before
making substitutions.
Ensure food is properly cooled, stored, labeled, packaged, and ready for event dispatch.
Maintain an organized station and follow sanitation, temperature-control, and workplace
safety procedures.
Assist less-experienced cooks with assigned tasks and demonstrate proper kitchen
practices.

Previous professional cooking experience in catering, banquet, restaurant, hotel, or another
production kitchen.
Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking methods.
Ability to follow recipes accurately and prepare food in larger quantities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments without repeated reminders.
Good judgment about when to solve a routine problem and when to consult the chef.
Consistent attendance, clear communication, and a cooperative attitude.
Ability to work safely in a busy kitchen and perform essential duties, with reasonable
accommodation as needed.
Success in this role means being prepared, staying organized, meeting production deadlines,
and delivering consistent food quality while keeping the chef informed.
